Firefly House
Formerly the Dutch ambassador’s house in Portugal, today Firefly Quinta has lost none of its opulent charm and comfort. Extensively renovated by the owners in 2021, the bright and airy south-facing house features 6 double bedrooms, with stripped wood floorboards across three floors.
The principal entertaining area features a quirky and colourful custom-made kitchen and Smeg range oven. In a cosy corner there is a wood burner and sofa, perfect for relaxing drinks in front of the fire, with views over the hill. The inter-connected dining room table opens onto the terrace with huge opening glass doors, allowing for barbecue and al fresco dining options, so the entertaining space inside and out, is amazing and flexible whatever the weather. On the extensive terrace area, there is ample space with sun bed loungers, sofas, Weber barbecue and dining table. All with forest and distant ocean views.

Connecting to the kitchen via a colossal Rajasthani door, is a stunning yoga and meditation room space, with south-facing doors onto the terrace, and doors that also connect to the drawing room, with stunning ocean views, complete with Chesterfield sofas, Indian furniture and a wood burner.
Micro-cement bathrooms
Along the ground floor corridor are two bedrooms perfect for guests and or children with a shared bathroom, (all are fitted in micro-cement), with walk-in shower. The master suite features an enormous en-suite decadent bathroom, with hand crafted tiles, walk-in shower and free-standing copper bath from India.
The three floors are connected via custom-built wrought-iron stairs. On the top floor are two en-suite double bedrooms with south-facing views and desks to die for.
Self-Contained Studio
Down-stairs there is a self-contained studio flat with en-suite bedroom and kitchenette, a brand new Finnish sauna with shower area, and a games room kitted out with pool table and table football. The pool table opens out onto the outdoor area and optional ping-pong table outside. There is also a dedicated tv room with Roche Bobois sofas to lounge on and a 75 inch 8k television for cinema experiences with over 700 channels to choose from and Netflix.
